Frederic shares his experience by saying that the mangosteen products offered by MLM companies of very high process and 90% of them are just hype. when he talks about Xango mangosteen juice, he says that Xango juice should better be called a fruit juice rather than a pure mangosteen juice as Xango makers add eight other fruit juices to their Xango product… they claim that Xango can be used to cure many disease and comes with 20 health benefits but at the same time they issue a not on their product that these claimed benefits are not approved by FDA and this product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.. I’m told that I would probably only find them in Asian stores, but only canned. Also, I read in other answers for other people that the fruit by itself is probably not available in the U.S. by itself. So, does anyone know of a specific canned product, like the name of it? I want to taste the fruit itself even if it’s canned, not just the juice. I can get that at the Vitamin Shoppe and I’ve never even bought it. Way too expensive.

Where can I order fresh mangosteen fruit? They recently passed the FDA law to ship it into the states, and I’ve read that you can get it for $45 a pound in some places of New York, but is there somewhere I can order it directly from Thailand, or somewhere else? I live in Kansas, and needless to say, it’s hard to find. Please help. Thanks.

A few months back there was a ban on export of fresh mangosteen from Thailand but now ban is lifted and there are clear chances that you can order fresh Mangosteen directly from Thailand. I have been researching this fruit. The US just lifted a ban for import into the country. Growers are charging $11 for one tangerine size fruit. $46 for a pound. If this fruit is that expensive, do you think it has great value?
